Our story
A better way to shop for home.
Where HomeUp began
Kingston, 2023
HomeUp started the way most good ideas do — over a kitchen table. Two friends, one a buyer, one a designer, both tired of Pinterest boards that never matched what they could actually find in Kingston. We'd spend a Saturday at three different shops and still leave with a vase we didn't love.
We figured we couldn't be the only ones. So we took a small loan, a list of pieces we actually wanted in our own homes, and a Saturday stall at a friend's driveway sale. Almost everything sold. The text messages started that night: "do you have anything else like the green lamp?"
Three years later we have a warehouse in Half-Way-Tree, a small team of four, and a catalogue that finally feels like us. We still start every Monday with a kitchen-table conversation about what came in that week, what sold, and what we'd put in our own homes.

What we believe
Considered, not crowded
We carry what we love. If a piece does not pass the kitchen-table test — would we put it in our own homes — it does not make the catalogue.
Built for Caribbean living
Humidity, salt air, surprise rain — every piece we stock has been chosen with the climate in mind. We tell you what works and where.
Makers over middlemen
When we can, we work directly with small studios. You get a better object and the maker gets a fairer price.
